Two pieces of thick, stiff metal wire that have been bent and tacked into a shape of the letter “D”.
The straight edge of the D ring is then attached to the fabric via a sturdy leather or stiff synthetic clamp. Casual belts or trench coat belts are the most common to use the D Ring.
