Boat Shoe

Boat Shoe (n.)

Sometimes called docksides, dock shoes, topsiders and erroneously called loafers, boat shoes are made from leather or canvas with rubber soles.

Traditionally used by sailors because of the gripping ability and waterproof design.

Boat shoes are casual pieces of footwear, look great with khaki trousers or khaki shorts and best worn in late spring and the summer.
